Simon Matthews is a Senior Consultant Psychologist and operates in the role of Manager – Psychological Assessments at the Centre for Corporate Health (CFCH) and Pty Ltd, a management and psychological consulting organisation based in Sydney. Simon has also worked in CFCH’s sister company Resilia, specializing in providing rehabilitation and return to work services for people following psychological injury as an accredited rehabilitation consultant. Simon has extensive experience working in both government and non-government organisations specializing in the area of mental health, psychological injury and emotional resilience. He also undertakes teaching, training and regular blog writing in the areas of physical and psychological well-being.
Simon has focused his career on helping individuals to develop practical psychological and physical strategies to enhance well-being, more effectively manage the challenges of life and to reach the goals they desire. Simon has extensive experience working with professional services organisations, in particular law firms, financial institutes and other consultancy firms. In addition to his work in the professional services industry, Simon has taught extensively at The Australian College of Applied Psychology. With his additional qualifications as a Personal Fitness Trainer, in his private practice, Simon works with individuals to help develop and improve psychological and physical well-being. Simon is a Registered Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society.
Simon has a Bachelor of Social Science(Honours) degree from Charles Sturt University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Newcastle University. He has been a Registered Psychologist since 2000. Simon has also completed his Certificate IV in Training and Facilitation and is a qualified Fitness Instructor.
