CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST, NATIONALLY ACCREDITED MEDIATOR
Elizabeth Hinton is a Consultant Psychologist with over twenty years’ experience working in a broad range of corporate psychology, mental health and psychological assessment and management roles. During her career, Elizabeth has developed high level counselling, mediation and consulting skills and has managed the delivery of clinical services in addition to consulting in the mental health field to a wide range of organisations in the corporate, government and tertiary sectors. Elizabeth has developed and delivered training programs to help individuals become more resilient and to assist managers and supervisors to recognise and respond to mental health issues and improve team functioning.
From 2009 to 2011, Elizabeth worked as the manager of the Campus Wellbeing Student Counselling Service at Macquarie University and, as part of this role, provided training and development programs to both students and staff aimed at building resilience. Elizabeth’s experience in the tertiary sector has given her a sound understanding of some of the key mental health issues that face students and staff in the tertiary sector. Prior to working in the tertiary sector, Elizabeth worked in corporate psychology managing the delivery of clinical and consulting services in Employee Assistance Programs and corporate wellbeing initiatives. Elizabeth has also worked as a Police Psychologist for five years and has worked in the alcohol and drug sector and in a psychiatric facility.
Elizabeth has a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in Psychology from the University of Melbourne and a Masters of Clinical Psychology degree from the University of Melbourne. Elizabeth has been registered as a psychologist since 1988.
