Michelle is currently a registered psychologist and rehabilitation consultant at Resilia. Michelle's experience to date has primarily been within the workplace occupational rehabilitation industry, working both as a Psychologist / Rehabilitation Consultant and people manager. In her career to date, Michelle has provided rehabilitation services to workers with both psychological and physical injuries, however, has specialist in managing same employer psychological return to work. Michelle has worked under various frameworks, however, has mainly provided rehabilitation and counselling services under NSW WorkCover. Michelle has also managed a team of psychologists in the occupational rehabilitation industry and has provided training and support for staff new to the industry as well as experienced psychologists. Whilst with a national Approved Workplace Rehabilitation Provider, Michelle performed quality control and audited files in preparation for WorkCover audits as well as developing processes to increase quality standards within the organisation. Michelle also has an interest in psychological counselling and worked for a not for profit organisation performing counselling services under Medicare and Centrelink services. Prior to working in the occupational rehabilitation industry, Michelle has performed various roles, including Veterinary Nursing and Audio Engineer, before deciding on a major career change to become a psychologist.
Michelle completed undergraduate studies in Bachelor of Arts, completing her honours course in psychology at Sydney University in 2005. Michelle then went on to complete a post graduate Certificate of Psychological Practice to enable her to become a fully registered psychologist.
