Alison Battley is a Senior Psychologist at Resilia Pty Ltd, providing psychological assessments and rehabilitation services for several of the large insurers specialising in psychological injury claims for Workers’ Compensation, Life Insurance and CTP.
Alison spent many years working in the rehabilitation sector for a national rehabilitation provider, working with individuals suffering from a range of physical and mental health conditions. During this time she was involved in psychological assessment, counselling, case management and vocational assessments/retraining. She has completed numerous medico-legal assessments, employability assessments for TPD and pre-liability assessments for individuals suffering from a range of physical and/or psychological injuries, and experiencing multiple barriers impacting their capacity for employment.
Alison is a specialist in the area of occupational stress, psychological assessment and employee development. She has worked with individuals and organisations to improve organizational functioning and targets intervention in this area from both an individual and organisational perspective. Alison has developed and delivered various interactive training programs to a broad customer base on topics including; Prevention of Bullying and Harassment, Dealing with Difficult Clients and Customers, Managing Stress & Psychological Injuries in the Workplace and Building Emotional Resilience.
Alison is also trained and experienced in providing mediation services to facilitate the resolution of interpersonal conflict between staff.
Throughout Alison’s career, she has provided psychological, rehabilitation and intervention services to a range of public and private sector organisations from the following industries: Research & Academic Institutions, Emergency Services, Banking and Finance, Transport and Logistics, Manufacturing/Commercial, Pharmaceuticals, Community Services, Health & Rehabilitation, and the Legal Profession.
Alison works with staff ranging from team member level to Senior Executives in the following consulting areas: Occupational stress & grievance matters, Psychological assessment, Mediation, EAP counselling, Rehabilitation, Change management, Management and career coaching and Workshop facilitation specialising in resilience, people management and interpersonal skills.
Alison has a Masters in Sports Psychology, from Victoria University. She also has a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Psychology, with honours from the University of Melbourne.
